Reef Walls & Wrecks: 5-Day Dive Safari

Kaluwana’s reef systems, the surrounding atolls, and the channel drop-off between Kaluwana and Sanaroa Island.

DAY 1

Check Dives, Kaluwana's Sheltered Reefs

Arrival and camp set-up, followed by 1–2 shallow check-out dives (8–15m) on Kaluwana’s sheltered leeward-side reefs.

DAY 2

Kaluwana's Outer Reef Systems

Two dives on Kaluwana’s outer barrier reef (12–25m), on the exposed side of the atoll.

DAY 3

The Neighboring Atolls

A day working two or three of the other uninhabited atolls in the group of eight, each with its own distinct reef character.

DAY 4

The Kaluwana–Sanaroa Channel

The signature dive: the channel where the reef shelf drops into deep water. Current-dependent drift profile along the wall, 5–30m+ depending on comfort and certification.

DAY 5

Sanaroa Reef & Departure

A final morning dive on Sanaroa’s fringing reef before breaking camp and departing for Alotau.
